Biochemistry

Biochemistry is a huge and gigantic word containing a whole world of chemistry of the life within itself. Biochemistry is basically a subject which encompasses the chemical reaction, responses, behaviors,

methods and other aspects of chemicals in a human body or more commonly in living organisms.

The biochemistry is a very large science containing a lot of bio molecules. Some of these molecules are ordinary while others are very complex and long structures. These complex and long (often chain-like) structures are also called polymers. This chain is made of recurring molecules which are called as 'monomers'. These polymers have a lot of types containing a lot of types of monomers and their virtually infinite combinations resulting in a lot of different outputs.

The most important topic of the subject is 'Genetics', the study of DNA and RNA in addition with the genetic code, which they contain in themselves. This is another world in itself, which traces its history back to very early times when the world of chemistry and cells merged. A number of scientists are among the top researchers of the subject.

The bio-chemistry is basically the study of polymers or polymeric molecules and their respective monomers, which make millions of combinations and outputs, as stated earlier. There are four main categories of macro-molecules. They are Proteins, Carbohydrates, Nucleic acids and lipids. Micro molecules (monomers) are combined in a huge and various combinations in living organism making different macro molecules.

The macro molecule of Carbohydrate is made of monomers named as monosaccharides . They usually include fructose and glucose. Lipids are made of the monomer of glycerol in combination with other molecules. Fatty acids are the main component of these macro molecules. Nucleic acid is very important part of the subject since it deals with the acids making up the DNA and RNA of living organisms. Lastly, the monomers of Proteins are amino acids. There are many amino acids.

The vast subject of Biochemistry contains these and a lot many other topics in itself. A lot of research and exploration is being carried out at hospitals and universities resulting in a very mammoth development in the subject and its resulting outcomes and benefits.
