Birth Control

Birth control is a procedure of one or more devices, medications, sexual practices or actions which is followed in order to control or reduce the probability of pregnancy or of birthing a child.

There are different ways scientifically through which birth control can be possible. One of them is to stop the fertilization of ovum with sperm cells and it is known as contraception but some contragestion cases are also include in this type. The chemical or surgical treatment to control birth like abortion can be another type while producing embryo or later fetus can be aborted in order to stop pregnancy.

Oral Contraception
This is a set of pills which are used for 21 days. The actual procedure starts from 5th day and ending on 25th day but the four later days are of bleeding and pills are not taken in that period. Two hormones are usually the ingredient of these prescribed pills and these can control the reproductive organism in women. Mini pill with only one hormone is also available in market which is less in side effects but the actual effect is slight less than the two hormone one. This method is highly safe but not for women who are overweight or have very high blood pressure.

The Intra-uterine device or coil
It is a device, normally made of plastic or copper and in shape to place in uterus. After the sexual intercourse, it can be taken off. Doctors place this coil and they left a little thread in order to make assure by women that it is fit rightly. Though, this method is unsafe for some women as it can produce bleeding or pain.

Condom of Sheath
A thick plastic used to roll over the erect penis before sexual intercourse and it is made of rubber and is highly safe if someone is looking for birth control.
