Bone marrow

Bone marrow is a special, fatty and spongy tissue which resides in stem cells and they are found in the large bones of the body. The stem cells can transfer into platelets, white blood cells and red blood cells necessary for circulation and immunity.

They are found in the hollow interior of bones actually. Bone marrow consists of 4% of the total weight of the body. Leukemia, anemia and lymphoma cancers and tumors can include the flexibility of bone marrow. Transplants for the bone marrow are one of the main cures done for the conditions of the lymphatic system and it cannot be cured with anything else.

All our large bones including pelvis, ribs, skull, sternum, femur bones all of them comprise of bone marrow. Inside of these tissues,

the immature stem cells housed and they are full of extra iron. The cells remain inside of larger bones until stem cells are weakened, damaged or unhealthy and needs to be replaced. For the replacement, the old cells come out in form of platelets, white cells in form of T-cells and red blood cells. This is the only way to keep our body healthy.

Red blood cells carry oxygen for our body and they take out the no needed carbon dioxide. White blood cells work in immune system and they fight with foreign cells to protect our body.

While, platelets find places where cells are hollow and they cover that area like a cut in body or a clot.

So, all of these cells are important to keep our body working. They are incredibly important to our body so bone marrow provides these cells and bone marrow fights with viruses like fungi and bacteria etc. Diseases with lymphatic systems and cancers, tumors can damage bone marrows and stem cells. In that case, bone marrow transplant and other cures are used.
