There are many people which possess cardiac problems only because they are fat and are obese. There are many related cardiac diseases such as myxomas. Cardiac maxomas are the common type of primary cardiac tumor. The first myxoma was described in the year 1845. Well the myxomas are the neoplasms of the endocardial origin. The cardiac myxomas are originated from the multipotential, primitive, and mesechumal cells that are present as the embryonic remnants in the heart wall.

 

 

This concept of the cardiac myxoma is supported by the study of Immunohistochemical. The Immunohistochemical study also suggests that the myxoma cells are taken from the subendocardial primitive cells.

Cardiac myxoma occurs to the people of all ages but the people who suffered mostly are between the third and sixth decades of life. Among men and women it is said that women dominate the series. Most patient suffering from myxomas experiences the occurrence of embolism.

 

 

As most myxomas occurs and are located in the left atrium, the Systemicembolism is usually common. This can affect several vessels that include retinal arteries, cerebral arteries, renal arteries and coronary arteries. In some cases permanent visual loss may also occur.

The cardiac myxomas usually occur and develop in the atria. According to the research more than 75 percent of cardiac myxoma was originated in the left atrium and the remaining in the right atrium. About 90 percent of tumors originate in the region of fossa ovale in the atrial septum. Multiple myxomas are also occurred in some cases but it is very rare.
