Well now cardiac diseases are increasing, especially the cardiac tumors. The primary cardiac tumors are becoming common as compared to its old ratio.
The cardiac tumors are mostly found incidentally. It is found during the evaluation of any other unrelated disease or problem, which is mostly physical.
The patients of symptomatic, their disease in mass is usually detected by three ways, computed tomography (CT), echocardiography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The evaluation of cardiac tumors is very tough because the symptoms may mimic of any other cardiac problem and the doctor may choose the wrong answer, so it is a great clinical challenge to determine about the cardiac tumors in any patient. After getting the symptoms of cardiac tumor or its related disease, an appropriate diagnostic test is done to know precisely about the disease.
There are many reasons that a person may be affected by cardiac tumors. Some most common and important symptoms are as follows:
- Systemic or constitutional symptoms
- Interference or problems with the heart valves and causing regurgitation
- Hindrance or barrier around the heart valves which create the possibility of a heart attack or heart failure
- Attack on the neighbouring lung which may cause pulmonary symptoms and can create other problems.
- Direct attack of myocardium, which can create heart block, arrhythmias, impaired contractility, and pericardial effusion
- Embolication that is pulmonic or can be systemic
