High Blood Pressure in Pregnancy

Many women who are facing hypertension at the time of pregnancy may also have a problem of high blood pressure and in fact, hypertension can cause high blood pressure mainly. This can even occur to a woman,

who had never high blood pressure in her life. It is a sign of pregnancy also that blood pressure gets higher but it is not really good symptom for pregnancy and this type of blood pressure is occurred only to pregnant ladies.

The smaller arteries in human body are known as arterioles and they are really small lines which are lined with a thin muscle. When blood is passed fully through these small arteries, the muscles are relaxed and it is the normal blood pressure but when the brain signal makes the muscles harder, the small arteries or arterioles get narrow and this make it difficult for blood to pass easily and causing high blood pressure.

High blood pressure in pregnancy can affect the health of mother as well as child at same time. This can make it possible that baby may not get proper oxygen and nutrition to grow. The organs of mother even not receive blood properly in veins. If one has induced hypertension, it will swap away as soon as mother delivers a baby but if mother had chronic hypertension, it will stay same even after delivery.

High blood pressure in pregnancy can produce the problems of toxemia or preeclampsia after the 20th week. If you have sudden problems like overweight, sweat in palms and hands, protein in sugar then they are symptoms of high blood pressure. Risks for high blood pressure are more in age of 40s and if a woman is pregnant.
