Some women go through the process of hysterectomy just after having a child so that they can not have more children and some experience this hysterectomy because of disorders or tumours in the reproductive organs such as ovarian cancer, uterine or cervical cancer etc. There are many techniques available for hysterectomy which can be performed in different ways. One of the very common and the oldest technique is the incision of the abdominal. In this method the abdomen of the patient is cut and the desired organs are taken out.

This process requires a long period for recovery and there are many risks involved as well. This process is known as laparotomy. This is an open surgery and the time to recover from this surgery is minimum 4 to 6 weeks but it can go longer. The incision is done just above the public bone. Another technique is the vaginal hysterectomy. In this process the surgery is performed through the vaginal canal and it possess less complications as compared to the open surgery. This process is easy and less painful as well and a woman can recover from vaginal hysterectomy in just few days.
