Knee problems cause knee pains and difficulty to move it.
The knee problem can be occurred by number of mechanical and inflammatory reasons. The mechanical reasons may include any blow or sudden movements that cause strain, accidental problem or ostheoarthritis resulting from tear and wear from its parts. While inflammatory problems are rheumatic diseases which causes swelling to the knee and they can damages the knee permanently.
The knee problems are usually diagnosed by physical examination of patient, his/her medical history and medical tests like X-rays, CAT scan, bone scan, biopsy and arthroscopy.
As we already mentioned the parts of knee and around the knee, each part can have some problems which may be very severe to less severe. Some of the parts problems are described below.
Ligament Injuries: The ligaments can be injured externally by a blow. They can be treated with exercises, surgery and a brace.
Cartilage problems: These problems occur when the cap of knee softens. The medical treatment used for this purpose is also surgery and exercises.
There are many other knee problems can happen in muscles, tendons, and fluids. The doctors sometimes advise the patients to knee replacement when there knees are damaged totally or partially.
A common injury is to anterior cruciate ligament which is also known as ACL. Normally ACL is damaged by sudden fall or blow. Other injuries also include sports injuries. Arthritis is also a common disease of knee.
