The term pathology has the meaning of the study of disease and not specifically in the field of biology. There are other branches of pathology is also available such as veterinary pathology which is concerned with the animal diseases. Phytopathology is the type of pathology in which plant diseases are studied. Well pathology is a very important field of science because it allows you to understand about the disease which occurs in the living organisms and it also allows you to understand the functions of different organs.

 

 

Disease and infections are among those things which can not be halted but their medication and prevention can be understood and can be implemented. As you know that the study of disease processes is known as general pathology, you should also know that it is also known as experimental pathology, investigative pathology, or theoretical pathology. It is broad field which is considered to be complex as well which seeks to understand the mechanisms of the injuries of tissues and cells and how body responses to these injuries and how it recover and repair the injuries.

 

 

General pathology or the disease processes make the foundation for the pathology and the knowledge is implemented to diagnose the diseases in humans and animals. There are a number of branches of pathology which are Anatomical pathology, Clinical pathology, Dermatopathology, Forensic pathology, Veterinary pathology, Psychopathology, Plant pathology and Molecular pathology. All these types of pathology are used to diagnose the disease and for other reasons in different living organisms.
