Premature Ovarian Failure

Premature ovarian failure which is more commonly known few names more like premature ovarian insufficiency or premature menopause is the loss of the function ovaries in women before the age of 40. Women hits menopause usually in the age of 50 but some women over 40s also hit menopause.

There can be many causes for the premature ovarian failure and those can be natural or medically induced. It may be because of any genetic deficits meaning it runs in family or may be it can happen to a woman without any medical operation or drugs.

Certain drugs are reported to cause premature ovarian insufficiency in women. Among these are triggers used for the menopause like anticancer or chemotherapy or may be some surgeries or other medical operations can create this premature ovarian failure like removal of ovaries. Certain diseases like autoimmune are also reported to create early age failure in ovarian of women. Women may have monthly periods in certain conditions of premature ovarian failure while certain women will not have monthly periods.

All symptoms for the premature ovarian failure are same as those of menopause symptoms like night sweats, hot flashes, loss of bladder control, dryness in vagina, lack of focus, eye and skin dryness, joint pain, decreased sex drives, trouble sleeping, mood swings and others.

There are some ways to deal with premature ovarian failure if any woman is looking to get pregnant. One method can be by replacement of hormones and through therapy. Another way is to get over the counter medications which are better to ask doctor before using. Some medical herbs are also good in such cases. Eating healthy food, exercising and going away from smoking/alcohol habits can bring back the ovarian function in women. So, these women do not lose hope that they will not have fun in life, they can go for treatment to get normal.
