The trauma centers are really expensive and it is very costly to built sufficient trauma centers in one metropolis. There many big cities like Washington , Ontario , London etc. have only one trauma center for the whole city.

Some of the trauma centers also have a helipad for the patients who are carried in a helicopter for the treatment. This is because of the critical health of the patient and to save time escaping from traffic to the trauma center. It also increases the probability of saving a life of trauma injured person.

There are four levels of trauma centers. Each of them has different operations and number of staff but the aim of every level is to save the life of dying person.
